Dee, I don't know if it is just a fluke with *my* computer, but I couldn't leave a comment on you Serenity post. So if you're not hearing from people, it doesn't mean we don't love you! For myself, I'm glad there are some precious gifts of warmth with your new host family and the beauty of your surroundings. I hope whatever personal pain that's been shattering your serenity is healed soon. PLEASE feel free to email me (with details if you like) if I can be of any support. Much love...

Wonderful site. Came along as I'm contemplating applying for the Corps for 2005. I have a friend who'll be going to Kryzgy Republic in September.

Sorry to intrude from the other side of the world. Do you know by any chance any Uyghur blogger from East Turkmenistan? I'm interested in Central Asia politics and people. Thanks for your time. By the way...you have an excellent blog!

Hey, so glad to hear you're all right and things are quiet for the moment.

Dee, thanks for the observations. A lot of the press is really bugging me right now because they're getting the Uzbeks sooooooo wrong. I'm happy to hear that people still are interested in simply having a better life, but it depresses me that things are getting more dire.
